Floating City Ceiling Lamp is a massive color-block lamp designed and handmade in Northern Norway. It is crocheted out of premium hand-dyed New Zealand boucle wool leftover yarn, sourced locally from a fellow Kvaløya crafter.
The material ensures gorgeous, colorful light diffusion, as well as inherent fire-resistance properties.
The name comes from the Star Wars Floating City - the swirling colors and stitch openings create an illusion of a bustling electric city. It also evokes classic 70's lamp silhouettes, with a contemporary color twist.
The lamp shade can easily be fit over an existing E27 light fixture (all fittings provided), or it can be delivered as a readily installed lamp.
The diameter of the lamp shade is ~42 cm at the widest point.
