Uncanny is a lamp made out of New Zealand Touch Yarns hand-dyed mohair/merino boucle yarn. The wool was sourced from a local Kvaløya crafter.
The lamp got its name from the uncanny resemblance of the yarn dye pattern to the Aurora Borealis on a dark Tromsø night, with a swirl of navy blue, gorgeous teal, forest green shades, and purple/burgundy.
The crochet structure is supported by hand-formed rust-free steel wire.
Since the yarn is intricately dyed, the design was kept simple, but still alluring and evoking Aurora through its curves.
The diameter is 40 cm or 15.7 inches.
All L&H lights are available either as a lampshade which can be easily installed over an existing light fixture of the max. socket diameter of 4 cm or 1.57 inches (see FAQ for installation info), or as a complete ceiling lamp (see FAQ for light fixture info). Please indicate in Your Cart in Order Special Instructions whether you would like the Lampshade Only, or the Lampshade with a black textile E27 fixture.
