Wee-Woo Lampshade or Mobile is a versatile design object, which can be used as either a mobile or lampshade.
It was designed and crocheted in Tromsø, Northern Norway, using locally sourced leftover alpaca-blend yarn (naturally fire-resistant). The edges are supported with custom shaped stainless-steel wire.
Its diameter is ~42 cm at the widest point.
As a mobile, it beautifully captures the ambient air movement, softly turning at the lightest of breezes. As a lampshade, it is easily mounted on existing light sources (mounting fixtures included) and the light escaping, either through the threads or the two uncovered portions, is nothing short of magical. It evokes a celestial, astronomical event, like the birth of a star out of cosmic clouds.
